III. Process for building a website

A. Information for the customer

1. Definitions

a. In the following, the words “we,” “us,” “our” refer to Wondrous Websites LLC. The words “you,” “your,” “his/hers/its” and “their” refer to the customer.

b. In the following, the words “all sums due”, amounts, charges, costs, currency, money, “negotiated amounts,” payments, price, and proceeds refer to compensation or consideration from the customer to Wondrous Websites LLC for services rendered.

2. Read requirements completely

Read the following completely. When you submit a down payment for a website, it means you, the customer, understand all the requirements and agree to abide by them. The customer should print this statement for his/her/its own records.

B. Requesting Wondrous Websites LLC build a website

If you want us to build a web site for you, please send us an email. Our email address is “chiefspider@wondrouswebsites.com” with a subject of “New website request”. In the body of the email, the customer should list his/her/its name, address, telephone number with area code, email address, whether the site will be for a commercial entity, an individual, or an organization and list the type and approximate size (one page, two or three pages, or multiple pages) of website being considered. All of this information can be entered on the Free Quote email at wondrouswebsites.com. Press here to go to Free Quote.

Payment and content other than contact information should not be sent until Wondrous Websites LLC requests them via email. The customer may request, via email, a telephone consultation in the United States of America during normal business hours (see above). This will, of course, require the customer to give his/her/its telephone number with area code and preferred hours for calling. Outside of the boundaries of the United States, all communication must be by mail or email.

Before site construction begins, a mutual agreement must be signed between Wondrous Websites LLC and our customer describing exactly what our customer expects us to do and what Wondrous Websites LLC expects our customer to do. This agreement includes all of the “Policies of Wondrous Websites LLC.”

C. Our process for site design, content and other considerations

1. Together we analyze your needs for your custom website or for modifications to your site.

2. Together we plan the organization of the site structure. To do this we consider:

a. the location of the permanent site (It is the responsibility of the customer to contract to hire permanent space for his/her/its website and to notify Wondrous Websites LLC of the requirements for placing the website in its permanent location before the customer signs the website agreement for the site. These requirements include any rules of content or material, limitations as to size of site, userid, password, other technical data or any other requirement which would affect how Wondrous Websites LLC designs the website and places it in its permanent location.)

Back to “Who provides the website content?”

b. your home page

c. the number of additional pages you wish and types of information you want on them

d. your contact information form and/or other form(s)

e. the navigation design

f. the changes to be made to a site already constructed by Wondrous Websites LLC and which you wish to modify

3. Next we plan the design motif of the site

a. Color Scheme

b. Headers with graphics in GIF format (using your logo)

c. Additional decorative graphics in GIF format

d. Photographs in JPG format

4. We build/modify/finalize the site.

5. We assist you to proofread your site leading to your approval of the site.

6. We load your site to the permanent location

D. One page site may contain. . .

  • a customer provided logo;
  • the customer's name and address;
  • a paragraph of description (approximately 50-60 words);
  • a “hyperlink” to an email form for asking questions about the site (using an email address provided by the customer);
  • and possibly “hyperlinks” to other websites (URLs provided by the customer).

An internal hyperlink to a second page other than is described in this section D. defines the site as a multiple page site. A “webmaster hyperlink” monitored and maintained by Wondrous Websites LLC may be negotiated.

E. Website construction and approval

Website construction begins only after Paypal or other designated financial entity notifies Wondrous Websites LLC of the successful deposit of the down payment to our account and we have received the website content from you. After all of the content and down payment are received by Wondrous Websites LLC, we will send an email to the customer that we received it.

When the work on the site is completed, Wondrous Websites LLC will notify the customer by email where he/she/it may find the website for proofreading and final approval and the time limit allowed for proofreading and approval. Additional editing, reworking, and opportunity for approval beyond two (2) times is billed at the standard hourly rate.

F. Page size

Since visitors to websites do not normally scroll down the page, important information must be visible on the usual screen size presented by the browser in order to provide the greatest impact to the viewer. One page of text data would be 120 words or less. Five to six names and addresses would be one page. Calendars are usually contained in an extended one page design, but content and number of entries would determine cost. Three photographs would normally make up one page.

Back to “Pricing for extra web pages.”
